World Interfaith Harmony Week Webinar – Day 7 (Valedictory Session)
Focus on Christianity and Interfaith Unity

A vibrant panel discussion by young participants from Christ College of Science and Management further explored Christianity’s contribution to peace and harmony, encouraging youth to actively promote dialogue and mutual respect in society.
The programme concluded with participant feedback, words of appreciation, and closing remarks, marking the successful completion of the Interfaith Harmony Week celebrations. The final day reaffirmed the Chavara Cultural Centre’s enduring commitment to building unity in diversity through dialogue, collaboration, and shared spiritual values.
The session was enriched by a cultural performance showcasing traditional Christian art forms from Kerala, highlighting the integration of faith and culture in nurturing communal harmony.
The programme began with a welcome address and a prayer song, setting a spiritual tone for the concluding celebration. A brief recap highlighted reflections from previous sessions dedicated to Jainism, Zoroastrianism, the Baha’i Faith, and Buddhism, emphasizing the rich diversity of spiritual traditions explored throughout the week.
The event featured inspiring addresses from eminent speakers, including Archbishop Felix Machado, Fr. Jarvis Cosmos De Sousa, Srimati Rinchen Lamu, Dinesh Rao, and Dr. Arjun Rastogi. The speakers reflected on Christian teachings rooted in the Gospel message of love, forgiveness, justice, and service, and emphasized the responsibility of faith communities to build bridges of understanding in today’s divided world.
Fr. Roby Kannamchirayil CMI, Director of Chavara Cultural Centre, delivered the welcome address, expressing gratitude to collaborating organizations and distinguished guests. The session also paid tribute to the late Fr. Albert Nambiaparambil CMI, founder of Chavara Cultural Centre Kochi, honoring his visionary contribution to interfaith dialogue and cultural engagement.
On 7th February 2022, the Chavara Cultural Centre, Delhi concluded its week-long international webinar series celebrating World Interfaith Harmony Week. The seventh day served as the valedictory session, focusing on Christianity’s role in promoting peace and harmony, while reaffirming the shared values of unity, love, truth, justice, equality, and fraternity among all faith traditions.
