Organised by Chavara Cultural Centre, Delhi & Delhi Syro-Malabar Youth Movement (DSYM)

The celebration commemorated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as a message of hope, renewal, and peace, bringing together eminent leaders from religious, diplomatic, legal, educational, media, and social sectors.

The event was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of Mr. Juan Angulo, Ambassador of Chile, and was blessed by Most Rev. Archbishop Anil Joseph Thomas Couto, Archbishop of Delhi and Secretary General, CBCI, along with Most Rev. Archbishop Kuriakose Bharanikulangara, Bishop of Faridabad. The gathering was graced by an eminent array of dignitaries including Dr. Tushar Kant Mishra, Rev. Fr. George Kachappilly CMI, Rev. Dr. Norbert Herman SVD, Ms. Sushma B. Rao, Ms. Binny Yadav, Dr. G.V. Rao, Swami Chander Devji Maharaj, Mr. Sandeep Marwah, Mr. Narender Yadav, Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Adv. M.S. Oberoi, Marzban Nariman Zaiwalla, Dr. Suman Khanna Aggarwal, Mrs. Jasminder Kasturia, Ambassador K.P. Fabian, Dr. Subu Rahman IAS, Maulana Muhammad Yasin Rahman Shaheen Qasmi, Goswami Sushil G. Maharaj, Rev. Fr. Varghese Vinayanand OIC, Rabbi Ezekiel Isaac Malekar, Ms. Carmel M. Tripathi, and Rajyogini Dr. Binny Sareen, representing diverse faith traditions and institutions.

Speakers emphasized unity, shared spiritual values, and the responsibility of faith communities in building a harmonious society.

The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances led by the youth of DSYM, including devotional songs, traditional dances, and artistic presentations. With more than 400 audience members and youth participants, the celebration created a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere filled with unity, cultural expression, and joyful fellowship. The active involvement of young leaders, performers, and volunteers added energy and dynamism to the gathering, making the event a true community celebration.

The Inter-Religious – Ecumenical Easter Celebration 2024 once again reaffirmed the Chavara Cultural Centre’s mission to foster unity in diversity and to celebrate faith as a bridge for peace, dialogue, and collective harmony.
